I have to use acrylic plugs in my new piercing, if i take these precautions will it be ok?

I just pierced my ears and only have acrylic plugs to put in. If i wash them about three times daily and maybe twist them once so my ear doesnt heal to the plug. Is this ok? I WANT FROM SELF EXPERIENCE NOT THE INTERNET CRAP.
