What does it mean if I am shy but confident?

I'm really shy but I have a confidence that makes me chase whatever pursuit I want at any time. Also I come off as unshy with a guy and to female I am sorta follower or stage-y. I can be a big fake in public but usually comfortable around a guy. I only get unsettled if they are after me. Once I sense the chase from him I am gone, and I go back to pursuit him.
