My 7 month old is moving into his own room soon and?

I'm worried he'll become unsettled at night. His sleep hasn't been great lately and I'm worried he'll get worse wen he moves into his own room. We have to move him as he's out grown his crib and not needs a cot which won't fit into our bedroom. Any advise on how to make the transition run smoothly as possible?
